The Dog Alliance is a nonprofit organization bringing independence, comfort, and connection to people through expertly trained service dogs, therapy dogs, and family dogs.
Our Story
Since 2006, The Dog Alliance has believed in the life-changing connection between people and dogs. What began as a small training program is now a 7-acre campus in Cedar Park, where certified trainers work with veterans, families, and dogs of every age and ability across Central Texas.
We provide free service dogs to Texas veterans living with PTSD and mobility challenges, and our therapy dog training prepares certified teams for community visits, healthcare settings, and corporate wellbeing programs. We also teach family dog training and dog sports, from puppy classes and obedience through agility, rally, nose work, and AKC Fit Dog, using positive reinforcement methods at every level.
The Dog Alliance is an Assistance Dogs International Accredited Member, a standard met by few service dog organizations worldwide. Accreditation requires an independent review of our training methods, dog welfare practices, and placement outcomes. Every program we run, from a beginner puppy class to a veteran’s service dog placement, is held to it.

Our Campus
A Premier Dog Training Campus in Cedar Park
Our 7-acre facility in Cedar Park, Texas, was built by our community to be a bright, welcoming place for you, your family, and your dog. Designed to feel like a friend’s home, the campus features spacious training rooms, shaded dog parks, butterfly gardens, a dog boutique with treats and toys, free internet, coffee, and convenient dog waste stations. Our facility also exceeds current accessibility standards.
Our Agility Field
A Professional Dog Agility Course Built for Training and Confidence
The Dog Alliance’s 10,000-square-foot dog agility course in Cedar Park provides a secure, professional space for agility training and other dog sports. The fully fenced artificial-turf field features a secondary perimeter fence and regulation-size agility equipment built to American Kennel Club (AKC) specifications.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the community? The Dog Alliance is looking for dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. We’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in contributing your skills and expertise to support our mission.
In addition to providing financial support and leadership to the Dog Alliance, the board of directors is also responsible for financial governance. Every year a full audit is performed and a 990 document is filed with the United States Treasury Department.
The Dog Alliance and Hounds for Heroes are legal DBAs for the Austin Dog Alliance. Program names include K9 Kids, Train Your Own Service Dogs, and Bow Wow Reading and Therapy Dogs. Our EIN is 20-4797768. Donations are deductible per US Tax law.
