Description

Our Service Dog staff and trainers follow Assistance Dogs International (ADI) standards to match qualified Texas veterans with professionally trained service dogs for PTSD, mobility, military sexual trauma (MST), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and related service-connected challenges.

This seminar is for: Texas Veterans with service-related disabilities—including PTSD, MST, TBI, and mobility challenges—who live within a 4-hour drive of our Cedar Park, Texas campus.

In this Seminar, we cover

  • More about Dog Alliance and Assistance Dogs International standards

  • The steps from application to placement and graduation

  • What tasks a service dog can perform (e.g., interruption, retrieval, grounding, mobility support)

  • Post-placement support and annual check-ins

Trained dogs are provided at no cost to qualified Texas veterans; a nominal pre-acceptance fee covers online software costs.

If you are a Texas Veteran looking to train your own dog, please register for the Veteran Service Dog Training - Bring Your Own Dog seminar.

If you are a Civilian looking to train your own dog, please register for the Civilian Service Dog Training - Bring Your Own Dog seminar.
